Outfit Post.

Been WAAAY too long since I did an outfit post.

DRESS: Topshop, £23.
CARDIGAN: New Look, £12.
SCARF: Primark, £3.
TIGHTS: Borrowed from my sister, £FREE!
SHOES: (Sorry you can't see them properly) Primark, £5.
NECKLACE: (You can just see it peaking out at the top of my scarf) Primark, £2.50.
POINT OF FASHION: Pub lunch with my friend Claire.

Ignore the slighly crazy hair. That's what happens when I don't toweldry it properly before blowdrying. And it's already growing rather long already - it's only been a few weeks since it got chopped. And I was whinging about it then - you really can't please me!

Halloween tomorrow, wooo!
BIG shout out to my friends Sam and Neale whose radio show is starting again tomorrow on Spark FM. Check out the event here and listen live here from 2pm til 4pm.
I'm also in talks to share this blog with Spark FM which sounds awesome. I'll keep you posted.

Recreational Tiara Use.

I bought a tiara today from Claire's Accessories. It is both for Halloween use and recreational use.
Because of the short days (the sun sets at 4.30pm!) my SAD has been messing my moods around. So I've taken a leaf out of Shilpa Shetty's book (she wears fairy wings when she's depressed) and going for alternative methods of antidepressants.
I really do have my own way of dealing with problems. :)

Neale-o.

I'm loving the stuff in the shops at the moment for boys fashion, so I dedicate this post to my lovely and fashionable friend Mr. Neale-o.

T-shirt: New Look, £12.
Jeans: Topman, £36.
Hat: Topman, £18.
Shoes: Nike, £55.
Bag: Ebay, £15.
Watch: LazyOaf.com , £20.
Sega Megadrive: Ebay from 99p (!!).

Think a mix of retro 90s kid, with a touch of geek-chic and a dash of indie.

Watch out for a Halloween post coming on Saturday!

Sam: Pretty In Pink.

After a night of Nandos and X Factor, me and my friend Sam had a little shopping trip originally to find her a dress for her Halloween costume.

So we headed for the Topshop sale, and although I was supposed to be strictly looking for blue dresses, I picked out this lovely dress for her to try on in her size.

"I don't wear pink!" Said the horrified goth one.
"You'll suit pink," The expert insisted.
And look, she does!

Sorry about the phone picture. And the socks! ;)
"I think you're the first person to see me in pink," She said. And now of course, you all are too. I convinced her to buy it, thinking it'll be about £20 in the sale. And when we got to the till - A FIVER!! I'm a genius, I tell you!

So just a little outfit post today, accessorising the new dress for Sam v2.0:

DRESS: (Sam's was £5 from Topshop. I wanted a proper picture though of something of a similar colour and cut, so this one is from...) Principles £99.
NECKLACE: Dorothy Perkins, £15.
BELT: French Connection, £35.
TIGHTS: Dorothy Perkins, £5 or two pairs for £8.
SHOES: New Look, £16.

Oh, and we managed to find her a blue dress for Halloween. A successful shopping trip makes for an ace Sunday.

I'm On A Shoe!

ZOMG this adoreable shoe has just made my Christmas list - doesn't the character remind you of somebody...? Black hair, big fringe, confused expression, lots of accessories? Hmmm.

The designer, Karla (amazing name, girl!) has an online shop which can be found here: http://www.zazzle.com/lalloronax3. And best of all, if you aren't too keen on the colour scheme you can change them yourself - how fab!

Halloween 2009.

T-shirt: Topman.
Necklace: Dorothy Perkins.
Earrings: Accessorize.
Gloves: River Island.
Sweeties: River Island.

Halloween is almost upon us! One of my favourite holidays!
The telegraph posted this article (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/6364768/Fancy-dress-sales-jump-as-Halloween-overtakes-Guy-Fawkes-Night.html) yesterday about how Brits are celebrating Halloween more than Bonfire Night, because of influences such as American TV. I dunno, I LOVE Guy Fawkes Night too - there's nothing like the burn-y (?) smell of fireworks and Bonfires (must be the fumes from the burning wheelie bins from the dodgy estate round the corner from mine making me a bit giddy...good old Hebburn!), hats, scarves, mittens and holding cups of soup. Yumyum.

But Halloween is just another chance for me to dress like an idiot and eat lots of sweets.
I do that anyway, but at least I have a vaguely valid excuse.

I'm so jealous of all the cute kids outfits the shops have in now, usually for under a tenner a time - there was NOTHING like that when I was young unless you spent a bomb, which of course we never did.

My Halloween costume was generally a bin liner, with a witch's hat and fingers my mam got for cheap in Woolworths. And because of the afformentioned dodgy estates, we never really went trick or treating except the one year a group of kids I knew from the liturgy group at church (a bit like Sunday School) invited me round with them (with the watchful eye of our mothers) and I've never known such a violent bunch, practically looting houses for sweets. Catholics, I tell thee.

Halloween is also an excuse for me to pimp one of my FAVOURITE bands, Zombina And The Skeletones.
I know this is a fashion blog, so I won't have much about music, but Zombina are a little kitschy exception. They perform under B-Movie pseudonyms and sing songs such as 'Evil Science', 'At The Megaplex' and 'Nobody Likes You (When You're Dead).' Also, I met Zombina and Doc Horror at their (free!) Newcastle gig and they were utterly, utterly adorable.

HairCHOP.

Ignore my easy smile. I really don't like my new haircut. I think it's a little too short?

Accessorize.

Once again, Accessorize peaks during the Autumn/Winter months.
Epecially with their appliequed stuff - oh, the applique!

I would update this more often, but I've actually been shopping less than I ever have, despite now having my loan and bursary from uni. But funds have been put towards my shared house, and visiting my schoolfriend Marie in Poitiers next month.

I always said that I'd rather spend money on dresses than food. But it's too easy to look at the tins of soup in your cupboard, think "bugger this" and go to Starbucks around the corner for a lovely frappuchino.

I'm also trying really hard to cut down this week in case anybody's interested - I've enforsed a ban on crisps til next Saturday.

Back on topic though, I couldn't resist buying this hat from River Island:

The jury's out as to whether it's a panda with white ears, a polar bear with with mascara circles or a ghost with pompom ears. I've already seen another girl in uni wearing it. Grrr.
